What are the most stressful professions?

Doctors, neurosurgeons, teachers? No. Chinese study shows that professions such as waiters and sellers stress levels are higher.

In people with more responsible and serious professions, mental load is greater, but they feel pleasure from their work, feel responsible and important for what they do and therefore stress levels are lower.

In service occupations work involves more physical activity and minimal responsibility. Unlike doctors and teachers, waiters, for example, depend predominantly on customer whims and orders of the chief. All this in addition to the longer working day has a major influence on stress.

Usually stressed people care worse for themselves, often drinking and smoking. Many of them work in shifts or intermittently throughout the day, which also leads to zdravosovni problems.

Professions of the Chinese study were classified into 4 groups based on control of exercising them, operating hours, psychological and mental strain, and deadlines that must be met.

The most stressful professions proved by the service sector, such as waitressing and medical support staff. However, scientists and architects are among the professions with the least stress. The group of passive jobs with small requirements fall janitors and miners. Active occupations are those in which, despite the difficult and responsible tasks, people are largely autonomous, such as teachers, doctors and lawyers.
